Comparison Review: Falke Seidenglatt 15 tights (Late 2018) size M vs. M/L

Every time I finish a review, ideas would spring up as to which pair I can compare it with.  Most of the time, I jot down my ideas, but seldom have the time to write it up.  So, instead of a usual product review, I would like to start with a simple comparison review.

I bought another pair of Seidenglatt 15 tights, and this time in size M.  Hence in this comparison review, I can show you the difference between M/L and M.  Since all other specifications are the same, I will focus on the size difference and fit.

Similarities and differences

FIT

Size M had a better fit than M/L but still, not perfect.  Its total length is only 2cm shorter than the M/L, thus bagged around the knees as well (though not as obvious as size M/L).  Moreover, as it was one size smaller than the M/L, the circumference of the waistband was smaller as well.  Hence it rolled and dug in quite a bit.  The envelopment for size M was much better than M/L giving a firmer grip on the entire lower body.

Size M (below) is 2cm shorter than size M/L, when laid on a flat surface.
LOOK

The appearance was pretty much the same between the two sizes.  Size M also bagged around the knees, just less profound than size M/L.

Comparison Falke Seidenglatt 15 07
Falke’s statement hygienic gusset is visible through the tights’ sheer nature.
FEEL

Since the hose is especially long and not much elasticity, there was a sense of budging around the knees and the calf.  The waistband rolled and dug in, though it wasn’t causing too much discomfort for me.

ilovehosiery advice

If you are a man, I would suggest you to skip the entire range, unless you are disproportionally tall and thin.  It would be less problematic for ladies, and size M is best suited for a height around 173cm with a lean silhouette.

Thanks for the comparison. I didn’t get why my new Seidenglatt don’t fit as good as my old one until I read this. Couldn’t agree more on the new ones being too long, as other Falke tights do. That said, I’ve found some styles that fit pretty well, such as the Matt Deluxe 30. Not easy to get the right ones consistently though.
