KUNERT has been collaborating with German ex-model and designer Claudia Schiffer since 2017. Together they have created a series of hosiery that incorporate patterns reimagined by the designer. They named the collection Claudia Schiffer Legs. I happened to find one at a reduced price while I was in Frankfurt, and I decided to give it a try. It is No.7 from the SS19 collection.
Strengths & Weaknesses
⊕ Striking two-tone design and stripes provide many ways for styling.
⊕ Sole and heel are in higher denier, thus more durable.
⊗ Nylon feel on the legs.
⊗ Minor quality issues.
Packaging & product description
The packaging is very similar to KUNERT’s Blue range. The only difference is that this one uses transparent plastic sleeve to wrap the tights. You can see from the images below for a clearer view.
The online product description is in German only, so I have extracted the one from the back of the packaging. It reads:
“A striking two-tone tights with striped detailing across the foot and ankle, the perfect accompaniment to a polished party look.”
Appearance & texture
The Claudia Schiffer No. 7 are pattern tights in reflective sheen fashion. Its total length is 120cm when laid on a flat surface. The tights are characterised by a sheer appearance on the front side and a semi-sheer (30 denier) look from the rear. Such feature runs from waist to toe, and is bordered with a 2-3mm wide black vertical stripe. In addition, there are horizontal stripes on the feet and ankle, creating a sock look. The texture is rather nylon to the touch, not particularly soft. The knitted waistband measures 3.5cm wide. The distance between the waistband and the crotch is 26cm. There is a gusset, and the toe section is reinforced.
The composition is 63% polyamide, 30% polyester and 7% elastane.

Size range
The size ranges from I to IV. I have included the size chart below. Size II 40-42 is used in this review.

Colour
At the time of writing this review, there is only one colour left on the KUNERT online shop, which is Skin/Black. The one I bought is Skin.
Impression
FIT
The fit was slightly large. It certainly can fit 175cm as the size guide suggested and possibly taller. The envelopment was relatively good as the tights hugged the legs firmly. The knitted waistband was pretty comfortable, and I had no issues with such.
LOOK
The appearance looked awesome and I loved it! The two-tone and the stripes on the feet provide many combinations for styling. You could have skirts or short shorts and expose much of the legs. You could also wear trousers and show off the stripes. It is entirely your choice.
The tights are advertised as 30 denier on the official website. In my experience, the front side was more like 15 denier while the rear looked thicker (40-50 denier).
I found a few snags while unboxing. Luckily it was only observable in close range due to the nude colour nature. I can’t imagine how one would feel if same thing happens on a black colour. Furthermore, I had a slightly longer left hose. It didn’t make much of a difference though, as the tights were a bit too long for me and thus bagged around the knees after wearing it for a while.
FEEL
The texture felt rather synthetic; it lacked the softness and silky feel. The tights did provide a good deal of warmth however, may be because the the rear side are semi-sheer.
Since the sole and the heel are made with higher denier. It felt more durable than ordinary sheer tights.
Final words
I like the design but not the quality. It is certainly not what I would expect from KUNERT, especially with the original price.
The style is currently on sale on KUNERT online shop for €20.30 (down from €29). You could acquire it at a cheaper price, like I did.
