Review: Hēdoïne The Nude tights (1st Gen.) (Updated: 29 Jun 19)

I bought The Nude tights a while ago.  After examining it, I realise it is the 1st generation of Hēdoïne’s seamless tights, which have phased out by now.  Since the tights have more or less the same features as The Edgy I reviewed before, I will do a picture review instead.  If you would like to learn more about the 1st generation of Hēdoïne’s tights, you can click right here.

Packaging & product description

As you can see, the first generation uses transparent, plastic sleeve.  There was also a lack of information on the specification on the packaging. (The latter has been addressed, and the packaging now comes in a box made of cardboard in the current generation.)

Appearance & texture

I bought the low waistband option.  It measures 8cm wide on the front and back, and 9cm on the side.  The total length of the tights is 85cm; the distance from the tip of the waistband to the crotch is 13cm.  There is no gusset.

The patterned reinforced toe and sole, a signature of Hēdoïne’s seamless tights, has the same colour as the hose.

The waistband sat below the navel.  This is due to the relative short distance between the crotch and the waistband (which is 5cm).  From previous experience and as a precaution, I took the logo down.

As with The Edgy, the reinforced sole couldn’t cover my entire sole.

Final words

Being a relatively new brand, Hēdoïne is actively perfecting their tights and collection.  There has been significant changes since the first release of The Nude. Hence, the Nude you can buy now will be somewhat different than the one I have.

Also Hēdoïne has put a lot of effort on making their packaging more sustainable.  The plastic sleeve you see on the front page is already gone, now replaced with a box made of hard cardboard. I don’t have a picture of the new packaging just yet, but they are on their way.  So stay tuned, as more Hēdoïne tights reviews are coming.

The soft cardboard box is part of the transition to make the packaging more sustainable.
